Music from the International Room of Cheese (Exalt DJ)
Many members (and non-members) have entered the international room of cheese (the Exalt Plug.DJ site), with some joining in with their own music playlists to play to everyone.
So I figure to start up a thread asking two simple questions:
~ What music do you like to show off in the Exalt Plug.DJ site?
~ What music do you typically enjoy?
Answers can answer one or both questions. Answers can be sentence or dictionary long. Answers can be in the form of artists, bands, songs, albums, genres, eras, or something of the like. Asking additional questions about others' musical tastes is also encouraged.

Aba
I guess I'll start things out.
As my album bracket would suggest, I'm more into classic rock from the 70's and 80's. Probably because I was born near the cusp of those two decades, but more so from my parents who are big music fans and concert go-ers then and now. There are a few modern artists and bands I like to listen to, and I'm aware of some songs by other modern artists. I'm also a big fan of instrumentals, most coming from video games.
So in my first visits to the room, I have observed and listened to the songs and playlists others have showcased. I've noticed the variety of them while most of these songs have themes and genres like dance, beat, DJ, instrumental, video game, internet phenom, addictive, and good-feel.
Thus after, I started thinking up and showcasing songs that I had or I knew of that fit well with them. Then I branched out to several more artists and genres that I personally enjoy more of; this while attaining the enjoy-ability and overall feel of the theme and discovering what other guild members like that I like.
Highlight artists: Daft Punk, 009 Sound System, Rolling Stones, Psy, AC/DC, Michael Jackson, OK Go, Madonna, Eiffel 65 ("Blue [Da Ba Dee]"), Moby, Genesis, The Fratellis ("Chelsea Dagger"), Haddaway ("What is Love"), Queen, Fatboy Slim ("Weapon of Choice"), Coldplay, Outkast ("Hey Ya"), Scatman John ("Scatman")
Highlight soundtracks and compilations: Shatter game, Bit.Trip series, Pi film, Amazon Ultra All Stars 2010, Portal 2 game, Q.U.B.E game, The Matrix film

Since all of my music I feature in plug.dj are from YouTube videos, I created a playlist and use the Import option to load it up. Check my YouTube playlist to see what songs I play while DJing.
Thanks!
